The site is ready for alpha testing

March 13, 2026

The main functionality which makes SyneMind useful is here, and the site is ready for alpha testing.

Ready for alpha testing

The SyneMind is ready for "alpha" testing. What does this mean? Well, it is a step before "beta" testing - beta is where everything has been implemented, and has to be run through its paces to shake out any hidden problems. In alpha, there can still be problems, but then there are areas that have not been implemented at all.

What is here already?

From the main features that make SyneMind "your life dashboard", what is here already is:

  • Notes - think "knowledge articles" that can hold rich text but also can embed media and uploaded documents. These are your central points of reference on a topic - my house, my job, my finances... which can then be broken down into subtopics.

  • Tasks - things to do. As with notes, you can format these with rich text, upload media and documents to them, break them down into smaller tasks.

  • Quick Notes - a lightweight version of a note - it's text only, and can be added to anything (think comments).

  • Tasklets - a lightweight version of a task. Just some plain text for a one-off that doesn't need bells and whistles.

  • Groups - a (premium) collaboration feature where you can create groups, then add people to it - family, co-workers, customers, hobby club members... and share notes or tasks with them.

Additional things that work:

Not features as such, but these form the basis of a working site, and they are here already:

  • Account management (rudimentary)

  • Social login - you can log into the site using your Facebook or LinkedIn account.

  • Subscriptions through Stripe for premium features.

What is not here yet?

Well, most of the niceties are not here yet... Further development will focus on making your life easier - easier to save things to notes (think remembering all your bills, invoices, meeting minutes), "to do" lists, appointments...

External integrations will also be added to let you pull data from other services.
