You can disconnect an external account from your SyneMind account in two ways.
When you are logged in, navigate to the Accounts and Profile section of your personal homepage, then in "Account" click on "Connected Accounts". You will see a list of available platforms with which you can connect, each with a connection status - connected or not connected. Click on the "Disconnect" button next to the platform you want to remove the connection from. After you do that and confirm the action, the connection should be removed and the provider should now show with a "Disconnected" status.
You can also disconnect from the provider side. In the case of Facebook, go to the "Settings" page of your Facebook account, then in "Privacy Checkup" click "Your data settings on Facebook", which should show "Apps and Websites". When you click the "Continue" button, you will see a list of all the apps and websites that you have connected to your Facebook account. If SyneMind is there, click on it and then click the "Remove" button. This will tell Facebook to not allow SyneMind access to your account anymore. If you also select the option to send a notification, the Facebook server will call the SyneMind server and inform it that the connection has been removed. This will then mark the connection as removed in SyneMind as well. Note that if you do not send the notification, SyneMind will not know that the connection has been removed and will continue to show it as active, even though it will not work.
When you disconnect a social account, what happens "under the hood" is the following:
The connection record is deleted.
The access token is deleted.
If the disconnection was initiated from the provider side and a notification was sent, SyneMind will respond with a confirmation code and with a page URL where the current status of the connection is shown, to verify that it is inactive.
Information that has been used to populate other parts of your profile will remain in your profile, from where you can delete them separately if you wish.
You can re-connect the social account later by following the same steps as you used to connect it initially.
